Job Purpose:
Managing and establishing the policies, practices, standards, and processes for archiving and records management at KAFD and make sure they are in line with the organization's strategic plan. Assuring that archival records are properly organized and set up new mechanisms for archiving and managing records.
Main Accountabilities:
- Contribute to setting KAFD's archiving and records management policies, procedures, methodologies and standards, and ensure alignment with KAFD's strategic direction.
- Establish new archiving and records management systems and ensure the proper organization of archival records. Develop classification systems to facilitate access to archival materials, ensuring the most appropriate records management resources.
- Regularly verify and evaluate existing archiving and records management systems and establish. Administer the development of policy guidelines concerning public access and use of materials and ascertain adherence to them.
- Oversee the design of filing systems, business classification schemes and the development of records surveys. Ensure the standardization of information sources throughout KAFD.
- Ensure that financial, legal or administrative requirements and regulations are compiled and that data is fully protected.
- Coordinate enquiries and requests for information from both internal and external clients and ensure that records are easily accessible when needed.
- Monitor the destruction or archival of finished data/records and establish retention and disposal schedules.
- Advise on new archiving and records management policies, providing a framework to guide staff in the management of their records and use of the employer's records system.

- Proficiency in archiving software and tools.
- Strong understanding of metadata standards and best practices.
- Ability to develop and implement digital archiving strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Proficient in data management and digital asset management systems.
- Experience in managing large volumes of digitized or born-digital materials.
- Project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute archiving projects.
