Job Purpose:
Manage KAFD project control activities, ensuring proper project documentation, effective project planning, cost management and reporting to help the organization deliver all of its project successfully and within cost and budget requirements.
Main Accountabilities:
- Ensure timely and effective preparation of comprehensive project documentation. Review contract documents, suggest changes if required and advise on the addition of new clauses if necessary.
- Oversee the development of clear project plans and schedules for all design and construction projects. Ensure effective identification of interdependencies, critical path and understanding the timing of each project stage to secure sound project oversight.
- Ensure adequate provision of scheduling and cost estimate inputs for all design and construction projects at the pre-concept and concept level feasibility phases.
- Facilitate liaison with key KAFD stakeholders and industry experts to discuss project cost estimates. Ensure proper identification and quantification of all cost factors involved in the project.
- Follow up on the consolidation of all resource requirements in projects to ensure they are available for project execution.
- Guide the development of project financial forecasts, in line with set budgets.
- Lead quantity survey activities to ensure that contractual terms of development are met, and in alignment with the design plans.
- Ensure timely and effective project costs monitoring and controlling to remain within set budgets. Highlight non-conformance areas and advise on corrective measures.
- Drive project cost reporting efforts and communicate the same with relevant stakeholders.
- Review weekly and monthly reports on project performance, efficient team building and labor organization. Identify discrepancies and advise on corrective measures.

- In-depth knowledge of project control principles and methodologies, including cost control, schedule management, and risk assessment and mitigation.
- Proficiency in using project control tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify project performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate with different project teams and stakeholders to ensure project control measures are in place and effectively implemented.
- Strong financial management skills to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities within the project.
- Attention to detail and a high of accuracy to ensure project control data and reports are reliable and up to date.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong decision-making skills to make informed decisions and resolve project control-related issues in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in project control to drive continuous improvement innovation project control processes and methodologies
