Job Description

Job Summary:


The Project Management Office (PMO) Lead will be responsible for overseeing the Project Management Office and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within specified timelines and budgets. The PMO Lead will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and executive leadership to establish and implement project management best practices, processes, governance and methodologies.

Job Responsibility:


- Lead and manage the Project Management Office, including setting goals, objectives, and priorities.
- Develop and implement project management processes, methodologies, and standards.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers in project planning, execution, and control.
- Monitor the performance of various projects and ensure they align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Review and analyze project proposals and determine resource requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Establish project governance frameworks, including project charters, and ensure compliance.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including tracking key performance indicators and providing executive leadership with regular updates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Conduct project post-mortem analysis to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects.

 

Skills

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate projects from start to finish.
- Extensive experience in managing and overseeing project portfolios, ensuring that they are executed within budget, scope, and timeline.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address project-related issues and risks.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively delegate tasks, motivate team members, and provide guidance and support.
- Proficiency in utilizing project management tools and software to track and monitor project progress, milestones, and deliverables.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices, such as Agile or Waterfall, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments and make necessary adjustments to ensure project success.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring a high level of accuracy and quality in project deliverables.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Knowledge of financial management and budgeting, to effectively manage project budgets and control costs.
