Job Description

Job Purpose:

Manage the effective procurement activities for KAFD (for General), ensuring the development of related policies, processes and procedures, proper contract preparations and vendor negotiation, accurate and timely delivery of goods and compliance with overall standards and procedures to cater for the organization's needs.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to setting KAFD's Procurement policies, procedures, methodologies and standards, and ensure alignment with KAFD's strategic direction
  • Supervise the development and ensure implementation of the end-to-end purchasing process for general procurement, in order to ensure all purchasing activities are in line with established Bylaws
  • Oversee the development and implementation of contract management processes, policies and procedures from contract development to execution to ensure the protection of KAFD’s interests
  • Monitor the preparation of contracts and contracts negotiations, as well as the coordination with the business owners, legal affairs function, vendors and service providers
  • Follow up on the timely and accurate delivery of goods from vendors. Pinpoint discrepancies and advise on corrective measures
  • Ensure effective and sustainable relationships are built and maintained with key suppliers/vendors to enable KAFD to obtain optimal quality supplies and services
  • Guarantee the proper development and maintenance of vendor lists and databases for relevant functional areas. Manage the implementation of vendor performance management process to enable continuous evaluation of vendors
  • Ensure full compliance with agreed procurement terms and conditions, and proper resolution management of complex disputes in a mutually satisfactory manner
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement business processes and devise plans to implement these changes, and provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract generation and vendor negotiation
