Job Description

Job Purpose:

Manage the end-to-end delivery of construction projects at KAFD in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing project management frameworks, policies and templates, and ascertain strict compliance with set standards and processes.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to setting KAFD’s construction projects standards and processes in accordance with local and international regulations.
  • Partake in the construction projects planning, scheduling and resourcing according to set standards and requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of construction projects at KAFD. Ensure successful realization of projects within cost, time and quality constraints.
  • Ascertain strict compliance with relevant local and international standards throughout construction operations including health, safety and security in alignment with the HSE and Security functions. Pinpoint non-compliance incidents and advise on corrective measures.
  • Manage security operations of KAFD legacy projects and material ensuring preserving KAFD interest and assets.
  • Ensure effective transportation, installation, testing and commissioning/ handover of new construction equipment.
  • Administer changes to construction projects scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Secure effective management, documentation and communication of construction project delivery risks.
  • Provide high-quality project governance and communication to executives, project team members and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Enable effective coordination and collaboration with other relevant departments of KAFD as applicable to ensure an integrated delivery model (for e.g. EPMO, Procurement etc.).
  • Guarantee timely and accurate reporting activities of construction progress and projects status in consultation with the DPMO team.
  • Regularly evaluate construction project delivery process and recommend changes as required to drive higher efficiency and productivity.
  • Nurture a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment. Encourage team trust and facilitate team building events.
